DIAGNOSIS
Exact corneal thickness and wavefront data in a single step
The SCHWIND SIRIUS provides indispensable information on corneal thickness and comprehensive diagnostic assistance.
In just one step, this combination topograph and Scheimpflug camera performs a fast, three-dimensional analysis of the entire cornea and anterior eye segment. It’s the perfect solution for refractive and therapeutic surgery and is also suitable for keratoconus screening.
A unique feature of SCHWIND diagnostic devices is the inclusion of static cyclotorsion control in all treatment methods using SCHWIND AMARIS
Benefits at a glance
Convenient 2-in-1 system combining topograph and Scheimpflug camera
Placido topograph with 1 µm resolution for high precision
Scheimpflug camera for wide-area, three-dimensional corneal analysis
Enhanced safety through detailed pachymetry map and keratoconus screening
Static cyclotorsion information for more precise treatment results
Placido technology detects the smallest irregularities of the cornea and gives very high 1 µm resolution. This ensures exact diagnoses based on topographic and wavefront data.
SCHWIND SIRIUS analyses the anterior and posterior corneal surface separately and with wide coverage. It can also calculate the power of intraocular lenses and help with contact lens fitting.
The highly developed Scheimpflug technology in SCHWIND SIRIUS generates a corneal pachymetry map of the eye. This detailed information on the corneal thickness makes diagnosis and laser ablation safer. Comprehensive information on keratoconus classification, morphology and follow-up ensures the highest precision in diagnosing patients with this eye disease.
An integrated pupillometry function aids in treatment planning. It captures the pupil diameter either dynamically or statically, depending on defined light conditions.
Measurement is touch-free. Since topography and pachymetry are measured by the same device, the patient need not switch chin rests.
The SCHWIND Corneal Wavefront Analyzer, SCHWIND PERAMIS, SCHWIND SIRIUS and the all-purpose Combi Wavefront Analyzer (combination of SCHWIND PERAMIS & SIRIUS) offer a comprehensive range of measuring methods and diagnostic options for refractive and therapeutic corneal surgery, including corneal and ocular wavefront as well as pachymetric data. Their sophisticated ergonomic design and user-friendliness make clinical work easier.
All diagnostic data can be imported into the SCHWIND CAM treatment planning tool at a mouse click.
A unique feature is the inclusion of static cyclotorsion control in all treatment methods using SCHWIND AMARIS. This provides for optimum centring and enhanced precision in astigmatism and wavefront treatment.
