SCHWIND concludes a successful ESCRS 2026 in London

A global gathering to foster innovation and collaboration within our distribution partner network

SCHWIND looks back on a highly successful and inspiring ESCRS 2026 in London, marked by four days of innovation, scientific exchange, and valuable personal interactions.

From groundbreaking technology launches and fully booked wet labs to valuable scientific exchange, SCHWIND's presence at ESCRS 2026 in London demonstrated how connected innovation is shaping the future of refractive surgery.

After months of dedicated preparation, SCHWIND concluded a highly successful participation at ESCRS 2026 in London. The congress provided an ideal platform to showcase our latest innovations, engage with ophthalmic professionals from around the world, and present our vision for a more connected, efficient, and patient-focused refractive surgery ecosystem.

Strong interest from day one

The enthusiasm surrounding SCHWIND was evident from the very start of the congress. Demand for our daily ATOS wet lab sessions exceeded available capacity, highlighting the growing interest among refractive surgeons in experiencing SmartSight® NOVA, the advanced lenticule extraction technology, and EASE (Epithelial All-femtosecond Surface Excision) performed with the SCHWIND ATOS femtosecond laser.

Our team worked hard to accommodate as many participants as possible, giving surgeons the opportunity to gain hands-on experience with one of the most advanced refractive technologies available today. At the same time, SCHWIND's booth sessions attracted large audiences every day, with visitors engaging in lively discussions and in-depth technical exchanges with our expert speakers.

Launching three major innovations

One of the defining moments of ESCRS 2026 was the introduction of SCHWIND's latest technological advancements. Users, partners, and industry professionals eagerly gathered to witness the unveiling of innovations designed to redefine the refractive surgery experience.

During the special launch event "At EASE with SCHWIND", SCHWIND proudly introduced:

  • The new Signature Line - featuring the enhanced SCHWIND ATOS and SCHWIND AMARIS laser platforms
  • EASE  (Epithelial All-femtosecond Surface Excision) - Treat with EASE like no one else
  • SCHWIND ATRIUM - the cloud-based connectivity platform helps turning connected data into clinical excellence

Together, these innovations mark an important milestone in SCHWIND's commitment to delivering a fully connected refractive care platform.

As ophthalmic practices face increasing procedural volumes and growing demands for precision and efficiency, SCHWIND remains dedicated to providing integrated solutions that support every stage of the surgical journey. With these new technologies, we are empowering surgeons through a comprehensive platform designed to optimize workflows, simplify clinical processes, and help achieve outstanding patient outcomes.

Knowledge sharing and expert exchange

Beyond technology presentations, ESCRS 2026 offered numerous opportunities for education, collaboration, and professional exchange.

SCHWIND hosted a wide range of activities throughout the congress, including:

  • The satellite symposium- "Refractive Technology & More"
  • Expert-led scientific presentations
  • Innovation-focused booth sessions
  • Personal insights and clinical experience shared by renowned refractive surgeons
  • Social Dinner Event

Visitors also had the opportunity to explore SCHWIND's technology portfolio firsthand, including the SCHWIND ATOS femtosecond laser, the SCHWIND AMARIS 1050RS excimer laser, and our advanced diagnostic solutions.

The daily wet labs allowed participants to evaluate the performance of the ATOS platform in a practical environment and gain valuable insights into its clinical applications. Through live demonstrations and expert discussions, attendees discovered how SCHWIND technologies can help elevate practice performance and support exceptional refractive surgery outcomes.

Shaping the future of ophthalmology

Throughout the congress, one message became clear: the future of refractive surgery is connected, intelligent, and centered around the needs of both surgeons and patients. SCHWIND is proud to contribute to this evolution by developing technologies that combine innovation, efficiency, and clinical excellence.
